Nawalny’s spokeswoman Jarmysch wrote on Twitter that despite the exit permit, it was still too early to be happy. “Alexei still hasn’t come to and he’s not okay.” Initially, the Russian medics refused a transport because the patient’s condition did not allow a flight. On the other hand, German doctors had no concerns after arriving in Omsk. The hospital didn’t give permission until Friday evening. However, Russian authorities warned the family that the flight could worsen Navalny’s condition.
Nawalny’s lawyer also submitted a corresponding application to the European Court of Human Rights on Friday. The court in Strasbourg approved the application in a fast-track procedure – but this had no practical consequences after the doctors’ green light. According to the clinic in Minsk, Navalny suffers from a metabolic disorder. “That is the main diagnosis we are most prone to,” said chief physician Alexander Murachowski. He ruled out poisoning.
After a stay in Siberia, Navalny actually wanted to fly back to Moscow on Thursday. His spokeswoman said he had another tea at the airport in Tomsk. He felt uncomfortable during the flight and lost consciousness while on board. The plane then landed in Omsk.

In Russia, however, suspected poisoning in the political milieu has always been an issue in the past.
