After OPEN, Mitratel IPO will be the largest

Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia – The corporate action of conducting an initial public offering of shares with jumbo issuance is expected to continue in the fourth quarter of this year.

While the details by sector consist of 2 companies from the basic materials sector; 2 companies from the industrials sector; 1 company from the transportation & logistics sector; 5 companies from the consumer non-cyclicals sector; 8 companies from the consumer cyclicals sector;

Furthermore, 1 company from the technology sector; 3 companies from the energy sector; 1 company from the financials sector, 1 company from the properties & real estate sector and 2 companies from the infrastructures sector.

Of that number, one of the state-owned companies, PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi, a subsidiary of PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) is certain to be listed on the November stock exchange this year.

The Ministry of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN) said that Mitratel’s initial public offering plan is targeted to raise funds of US$ 1 billion-US$ 1.4 billion or equivalent to Rp. 14.3-Rp. 20 trillion (assuming an exchange rate of Rp. 14,300/US$). ).

Deputy Minister of SOEs Kartika Wirjoatmodjo said the value was obtained by releasing 25% of PT Dayamitra Telekomunikasi or Mitratel’s shares to the public. This was conveyed by Tiko, his nickname, during a meeting with the media in Labuan Bajo, West Manggarai, last week.

Acting as underwriters include PT Mandiri Sekuritas and PT BRI Danareksa Sekuritas for local underwriters. These shares are also offered to global investors by cooperating with Morgan Stanley, HSBC Holdings Plc, and JP Morgan Chase & Co.

Tiko, the nickname of the Deputy Minister of BUMN, said that in the IPO process, the Investment Management Agency (LPI), namely the Indonesia Investment Authority (INA) will also be involved in this IPO process to ‘market’ the IPO shares from Mitratel to outside investors, including a number of endowments alias sovereign wealth fund (SWF) abroad.
