Roger Federer officially emerged from the top ten of the ATP rankings today for the first time in more than five years, dropping from ninth to eleventh. The last time a similar situation had occurred was on January 30, 2017, when it jumped from position 17 to 10.
The 40-year-old Federer, winner of 103 titles (20 Grand Slam), remains inactive due to a severe knee injury that forced him to undergo surgery twice in the past year and jeopardizes the closure of his professional career .
