The Val de Cher and the Berry Canal now have their tourist token from the Monnaie de Paris. After those of Montluçon and the Tronçais forest struck in 2018 and 2019, the tourist office of the Valley of the heart of France has just launched this new medal.
After Montluçon, it is the turn of Tronçais, a prestigious oak grove, to have its Monnaie de Paris
What elements represented?
The Vaux canal bridge and the Berry canal are represented on this Monnaie de Paris stamped “Valley of the heart of France – Destination Val de Cher”.
The Le Frêne barge, one of the rare metal barges to have sailed on the Berry Canal (to be discovered at the Berry Canal Museum in Audes) is also present.
Where to find it?
It will be on sale from Tuesday, June 9 in the tourist offices of Montluçon, Cérilly and Hérisson, as well as at the Berry Canal Museum in Audes. Collectors, tourists and lovers of the region can get one for the price of € 2.
