Album »According to rumors from social circles, Bob Dylan comes with Rough And Rowdy Ways to offer the world a masterpiece likely to rival past heights like Highway 61 Revisited and Blood on the Tracks. We calm down, guys: if listening to this new (double) album provides so much pleasure, it is certainly because the last recordings of the bard, devoted to the repertoire of the early twentieth century, were nameless purges. In comparison, yes, Rough And Rowdy Ways is a great effort. Not a monument, but a delightful record which finally sees the old wild animal emerge from its claws to engrave its first original compositions in eight years. After the overly sentimentalist I Contain Multitudes, Dylan unpacks his best title in ages: False Prophet.
