Buenos Aires – (dpa):

El Salvador has approved the use of the Coronavirus vaccine developed by the University of Oxford and AstraZeneca.

El Salvador’s Medicines Authority said it had issued emergency approval to import, distribute and use the vaccine.

This came after Argentina became the second country in the world after Britain and the first in Latin America to approve the AstraZeneca / Oxford vaccine for vaccination against Corona.

For Argentina and El Salvador, located in Latin America, it was not clear at first when the vaccine was expected to be used and how many doses they would receive.

Mexico’s Foreign Minister Marcelo Ebrard said approval was imminent in the country.

In August, the governments of Argentina and Mexico agreed with AstraZeneca to manufacture the vaccine for all Latin American countries except Brazil if it is approved in the two countries.
