They would have been surprised by the carabinieri while they were trying to force the entrance door of the Virgin gym in via Ventura, already the subject of two thefts in recent days. Two foreigners were arrested on charges of aggravated theft, MG, a 44-year-old Ivorian, and 32-year-old SH, originally from Mali.
To block the two suspects, then led to court for the direct route, were the soldiers of the Palermo Crispi station. The carabinieri, after the thefts suffered from the structure, currently closed due to restrictions related to the health emergency, have decided to intensify dynamic surveillance throughout the neighborhood. And the choice paid off, given that, as investigators reconstruct, a third blow would have been foiled. Investigations are underway to understand if the two suspects are also involved in the previous episodes.
Two other arrests for theft were made in the province: near Villabate the carabinieri in fact blocked two young people while they were trying to disassemble and steal the muffler from a parked car. The suspects are under house arrest.
