Inseparable for 62 years, a New Jersey couple died of COVID-19 on the same day.
Lawrence Freda, 85, and his wife Victoria, 83, took their last breath a few hours apart on April 24, People magazine reports.
Larry and Vicky had contracted the disease just two days before they died.
Sadly, their 51-year-old son John had died of the disease two days earlier.
The state governor honored members of that family in a series of Twitter posts on Wednesday.
“Larry and Vicky loved being grandparents, they always had fun. God bless their souls, ”Governor Phil Murphy wrote.
