The Ministry of Health and Population decided to grant exceptional leave to a pregnant woman whose pregnancy passed 28 weeks (7 months), until the date of birth.
This comes in the new instructions issued by the Health Insurance Authority regarding exceptional leave at the end of the pregnancy period, as part of the precautionary measures to prevent the outbreak of the Corona epidemic.
The Health Insurance Authority stressed that the date of pregnancy is confirmed by ultrasound and a clinical examination.
She indicated that these leave shall be granted by the general and subsidiary medical committees without exception, provided that these instructions shall be applied temporarily for a period of 3 months from the beginning of this year.
