JEPARA, iNews.id – Buffalo hotel in the village of Guwosobokerto Jepara Regency affected by the epidemic mouth and nail disease (PMK). Places for breeding as well as buffalo care services have not been fully able to meet the buyer’s demand for sacrificial animalsbecause the condition of the buffalo is in recovery.
The condition of buffalo breeders in Sobokerto Village began to improve after being exposed to FMD outbreak. Almost all buffaloes were exposed to FMD and had to undergo quarantine and intensive treatment.
ahead of Eid Al-Fitr Mubarak, the demand for buffalo for sacrifice is fairly large as in the previous year. However, because the health conditions of the buffalo are not yet fully healthy, not all breeders serve the purchase.
“The decrease in sales of buffalo has made the price of buffalo increase by around Rp. 2 million to Rp. 3 million,” said Muhammad Mursalin, a buffalo farmer, Sunday (3/7/2022).
