Aerolineas Argentinas adds two new special flights to Madrid and Cancun | Business Opening

Aerolineas Argentinas announced two new special flights from Cancun and Madrid to bring back Argentines who are stranded abroad due to the restrictions imposed to mitigate the spread of the coronavirus, company sources reported today.

The first of these flights will take place on May 22 from Cancun and will return to the country with 243 Argentines, while the other flight will depart from Ezeiza on May 28 towards Madrid, carrying more than 100 Spanish residents on its outward leg and arriving in the country in the early hours of the 30 with 243 Argentines.

On Thursday, the company had announced two other flights to and from Madrid for May 23 and 26, also with Spanish residents on their outbound trip and one to Cancun on May 20.

With respect to the network of domestic flights, operations were confirmed between Buenos Aires and Ushuaia on May 20, 23, 27 and 30. as well as between Ushuaia and Córdoba for May 25 and June 1.

These flights are at the request of the government of Tierra del Fuego and are intended to guarantee connectivity between the continent and the island province.

The company asked all its passengers to meet the sanitary protocols for hygiene at the time they appear at the airport and to wear a chinstrap or face mask permanently in all instances.

In total, 82 international special flights have been scheduled by Airlines since March 18, when regular operations were suspended, in which 22,000 Argentines returned to the country, while more than 2,000 foreign residents returned to their homes in some of these services.
