The Austrian football Bundesliga and EA Sports are extending their multi-year partnership. This includes both the FIFA 23 edition and future titles from the game developer, which will be released from next season under the title “EA Sports FC”.
With the extension of the partnership, it is also clear that the cooperation between EA Sports and the league will celebrate its 25th anniversary during this contract period. In the FIFA 99 edition (1998/99 season), then reigning SK Sturm Graz and cup winner SV Ried saw two Austrian teams together with the national team for the first time in the game simulation. Since the FIFA 01 edition, the entire top division has been part of the game. In addition, the digital championship has been held in the eBundesliga since 2017.
