Adelin Lis’s Snapper Chase Arrives in RI!

Jakarta

The Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Indonesia has succeeded in repatriating a fugitive from the illegal logging case Adelin Lis to Jakarta. Adelin Lis arrived at Soekarno-Hatta Airport, Tangerang.

This was revealed on the Attorney General’s Instagram Stories @Kejaksaan.ri. Adelin Lis arrived with a tight escort.

“Adelin Lis has been successfully discharged,” wrote caption Instagram Stories, Saturday (19/6/2021).

Monitoring detik.com, Adelin Lis was accompanied by several prosecutors. Adelin Lis was immediately taken into the car.

Meanwhile, the Attorney General’s Office has scheduled a press conference regarding Adelin Lis’ repatriation tonight.

Previously, the Attorney General’s Office (AGO) had prepared three scenarios for the return of the fugitive from illegal logging cases, Adelin Lis, from Singapore. The first scenario is to pick up Adelin Lis in Singapore using a charter plane.

“The first scenario: we do the pick-up by picking up a charter plane,” said the Head of the AGO, Leonard Eben Ezer at a press conference at the AGO, South Jakarta, Thursday (17/6/2021).

The second scenario is to pick up Adelin Lis using a Garuda Indonesia commercial plane. However, the two scenarios for picking up Adelin Lis have yet to come to fruition.

“The second scenario: returns via commercial aircraft via Garuda Indonesia aircraft. And the pick-up time is estimated from 14 to 20 June 2021. This return effort has not yet produced results,” he said.

In the third scenario, Attorney General ST Burhanuddin asked the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore to withhold Adelin Lis’ passport-like travel documents (SPLP). The detention was carried out so that Adelin Lis would not go anywhere before receiving confirmation regarding the pick-up. Because, Adelin Lis is a high-risk fugitive.

“Thirdly, as a step to implement Indonesia’s legal sovereignty, the Attorney General asked the Indonesian Embassy in Singapore for SPLP, a travel letter like a passport, not to be submitted first to the person concerned or to the immigration authorities in Singapore before obtaining certainty regarding pick-up and security guarantees that meet the eligibility for returning fugitives the high-risk prosecutor’s office,” said Leonard.
