The decision was made to “observe the principles of fairness in stimulating the soldiers of the security and defense forces of Ukraine,” the ministry said.
“Now the payments will directly depend on the areas where the military personnel are stationed, the complexity and specifics of the combat or special tasks they perform,” the report says.
At the same time bsingle payment in 100 thousand UAH per month will be saved Ukrainian fighters who are fighting the “enemy at the forefront.” The same applies to the families of prisoners and missing persons – payments of remuneration in the amount of UAH 100,000 are also preserved for them, the Ministry of Defense reported.
“PAs of now, all military personnel, including conscripts and cadets, in different regions of Ukraine receive an additional monetary reward in a fixed amount of UAH 30,000. At the same time, fighters who, risking their lives, perform tasks in combat areas, but do not directly participate in battles with the enemy, receive exactly the same additional payments – UAH 30,000. In this regard, the issue of differentiating the amount of remuneration depending on the place, conditions and characteristics of serving in the formations of the security and defense forces of Ukraine has become urgent,” the ministry explained.
In the same time the minimum level of salaries for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard and the State Border Service will be at least UAH 20,100. For State Emergency Service and the National Police – at a level of at least 17 thousand UAH.

Starting from February 24, 2022, the Ukrainian military, not directly participating in the battles, received an additional remuneration in the amount of UAH 30,000 per month. If the military participate in hostilities, then the amount of remuneration is up to 100 thousand hryvnia.
In the same time 34% of Ukrainians are sure that military salarieswho directly take part in hostilities are below the required level. This is evidenced by the data of a sociological survey of the “Rating” group, published on the website of the Ukrainian Veterans Fund of the Ministers of Veterans. The survey was conducted in the first half of January.
