“ADAC GT4 Germany: Piro Sports Teams up with Toyota GR Supra GT4 for 2023 Season”

(Motorsport-Total.com) – Diversity will also be a top priority in the ADAC GT4 Germany in 2023. This also applies to the competing brands. Because in addition to vehicles from German and British manufacturers, a Toyota GR Supra GT4 will again be driving in the ADAC series.

The racing car from Japan, developed in Cologne, is used by the Piro Sports team. Both pilots have already been confirmed. Cedric Piro starts together with Robin Falkenbach. The season starts from May 26th to 28th in Oschersleben.

“The fact that the ADAC GT4 Germany is now taking place as part of the DTM supporting program further enhances the value of the series. The DTM has a glamorous name worldwide. This will certainly attract even more attention to us,” explains Piro. “And still competing in the usual environment with the well-known actors from the ADAC GT4 Germany is simply great for us. We’re looking forward to the upcoming season.”

For Piro Sports, which also drove in the German Formula 4, it is the third season in the ADAC GT4 Germany. In 2020, a British Ginetta G55 GT4 was launched. After a break in 2021, the Saarlanders returned in 2022 with the Toyota GR Supra GT4. The big highlight came last August when the Saturday race at the Nürburgring was won.

Falkenbach, who shared the Ginetta with Piro in the ADAC GT4 Germany in 2020, will be back in the driver line-up in 2023. The man from Niederkassel was able to try out the Toyota during a test last fall. “I’ve known Robin since the karting days. We’ve always gotten along very well. It will also be great to harmonize as a driver pairing,” reports Cedric Piro, who is also the team manager in the family racing team.

“During the test in the Toyota, Robin was really fast right away. When it became clear that Marcel Lenerz would leave the team, Robin was always the first choice and our preferred candidate for 2023. In total, we certainly spoke to twenty drivers,” Piro continues .

With Piro/Falkenbach, the team has a powerful duo for the upcoming ADAC GT4 Germany season. “Not all vehicles have been announced yet. In this respect, it is difficult to define a sporting goal for the season. But the field will certainly be really strong,” says Piro.

“Basically, we want to finish in the top 10 in all races. If we can do that, we’ll also be up there in the overall standings. And of course we’d like to set another highlight like last year’s at the Nürburgring. We’re highly motivated and we’re taking action at.”
