Thiruvananthapuram: Severe corona virus outbreak has been confirmed in Kerala as well. Six people were diagnosed with the disease. Health Minister KK Shailaja made the announcement at an emergency press conference. This is the first case of Kovid disease in Kerala. The health minister warned that great care should be taken.

Kozhikode-2, Alappuzha-2, Kottayam-1 and Kannur-1 have been confirmed to have the most severe corona virus outbreaks in Kerala. Those who were diagnosed with the disease were admitted to the hospital.

Six people from the UK have been diagnosed with Covid disease. The health minister said further tests were awaited and those from abroad should automatically inform the government.

In Kozhikode and Alappuzha, there are two cases per family. Each case was confirmed in Kottayam and Kannur. The presence of the new virus was confirmed at the Institute of Virology, Pune.

The new virus can be treated and cured, the health minister said. Those returning from the UK in the last few days should be notified exactly. KK Shailaja said that a complete contact list will be prepared.

Monitoring at airports will be further strengthened. Use the mask and keep a social distance. Those who have returned from the UK in the last few days should inform the Department of Health exactly. The Health Minister said that the new Kovid plague can be treated and cured.
