Actress Sandra Oh: “Content that revolves around women is in demand”

How did your character Eve develop in the third season?

We see her at a new point in her life at the beginning of the season. It has almost completely withdrawn. It has to recover, it has to heal. The third season is all about their inner struggle for survival. But then something happens that leads her to continue her hunt for “The Twelve” (a dangerous secret organization, note) and for (contract killer) Villanelle. Each season started with an event that threw Eve into history. But this time she does it differently, her relationship with Carolyn, Villanelle, Konstantin and even Niko has changed. It has become much more independent.

You were on Time Magazine’s Most Influential People list last year. How was that for you? And did it affect your life plan?

I love that you believe that I have a life plan! Being on Time’s front page was an incredible honor. Time occupies a very special place in American consciousness and represents something special. To be recognized by such an institution is great. Regarding your question about my life plan: I currently have none. We should start shooting season four in September, but our series is international and we can’t film Africa in Scotland. Nobody knows what will really happen to Hollywood productions. It’s like reading the crystal ball. So my only plan is to do what I can and live in the moment. What else can I do?
