American actress Anne Heche is said to have been taken to hospital in critical condition after a collision in which her vehicle caught fire. The incident happened Friday morning in the Mar Vista neighborhood of Los Angeles, not far from where she lives.
Video footage from the American news outlet TMZ shows Heche driving her blue Mini Cooper. Followed by photos of her badly damaged car wreck. The vehicle allegedly rammed into a house, after which a fire broke out, the Los Angeles police report. It took about 60 firefighters more than an hour to extinguish the fire.
The 53-year-old actress and former partner of the talk show host Ellen DeGeneres, is known for films such as Donnie Brasco, Six days, seven nights in Psycho.
