The upcoming adaptation from the HBO workshop will be expanded by another important character from the story of The Last of Us. Joel’s brother Tommy will be played by Gabriel Luna, whom you may know from the series Agents of SHIELD, where he played Ghost Rider. Variety magazine informed about it. At first glance, maybe a bit of a strange choice (a lot of fans, for example, wanted to see Tommy Matthew McConaughey in the role), but after Pedro Pascal’s announcement as Joel, it probably makes sense.
The cast of Luna confirms that this will be a cast that we will have to get used to for a while, but it is not necessary to break the stick yet. Many such unusual selections of actors can often surprise.
The release date of the series has not been announced anywhere yet, according to various speculations, the production should last at least until June next year. The next date could therefore appear in 2022, but also with regard to the situation in the world, it will be rather later.
