Ludo Busschots appeared regularly in various Flemish series from the mid-1980s to the mid-2000s. In addition to his work as an actor, he sometimes also acted as a director and producer, for episodes of Flikken and Katarakt for example. From 2008, Busschots withdrew somewhat from the attention. He fell into depression and was at home for fourteen months. “I stayed in bed almost all day. If I got dressed by three in the afternoon, I could be happy. At six in the evening I was so tired that I got back to bed. ”

He found a second breath in a new job behind the scenes, at the archive of the VRT. In 2013 he returned to the small screen in a striking role: that of Chef de Cabinet Jacques van Ypersele de Strihou in Albert II, the series about our royal family.
