Activists latched onto Ferrari sports cars at an auto show and doused them with paint

The Paris Motor Show was interrupted by activists from the Extinction Rebellion movement, who were protesting against the production of cars. They attached themselves to three Ferraris on display and sprinkled them with black paint.

Eleven activists who disrupted a car show were arrested by the Paris police on Friday evening. It annoyed them that the auto industry promotes passenger cars at the expense of public transport, the newspaper pointed out. Daily mail.

At the same time, it calls for car manufacturers to stop advertising cars and help improve public transport. According to them, the promotion of passenger cars is absurd at a time of high electricity and fuel prices. Furthermore, according to them, electric car batteries are made of materials whose purchase costs human lives and causes pollution.

The trio of Ferraris damaged by activists appeared at the exhibition for charity, reports the French newspaper Le Figaro. Along with 13 other cars, they were loaned by a private collector, and the proceeds from the entrance ticket will go to support the disabled and their families.

In recent months, various movements have multiplied their actions across Western Europe. They want to condemn the inaction of governments and industry in solving the climate crisis.
