Computer Game Developer Activision turned to the court, demanding to disclose information about one of the users of Reddit, who last week published the screensaver of Call of Duty Warzone – the royal battle in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare.
According to the company, this requirement complies with the Copyright Act (DMCA), as it owns the rights to Call of Duty and related content. After Activision receives information about the source of the leak, she intends to sue him.
Previously, a Call of Duty Warzone image appeared on Reddit, which immediately scattered across the Web, but soon began to disappear with a note on copyright protection. According to the leak, the battle royale mode for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare called Warzone will appear in early March. Last week, a closed presentation was held, where the gameplay of the new regime was first demonstrated, but the journalists and streamers invited there signed the NDA – a non-disclosure agreement.
