The craft relies on new media, humor and magic for the winter acquittal
Online and new media are the mega-trends in Corona times – also in domestic craft. The Hellweg-Lippe district handicrafts association has now summarized its (otherwise three individual) acquittal events at the end of the winter journeyman’s exams for the first time in the form of a film (produced by the Wertig & Herz agency, Dortmund) and put it online. From now on, all interested parties will be informed about the 332 young craftspeople in the city of Hamm and the Soest and Unna districts who have successfully passed their journeyman’s exams in one of 16 different trades – entertaining and always with a pinch of humor by the moderator and magician André Storm. The video also provides insights into the craft, the congratulations of the district master craftsman and the traditional acquittal formula with which every absolution in the craft ends with a ceremony.

With the acquittal film, the Hellweg-Lippe district craftsmen are breaking new ground in digital communication. Press officer Thomas Behrning: “At the moment we are unfortunately unable to offer the new journeymen, but also their families, the voluntary work of our guilds and our many guests from business, politics and administration, any major face-to-face events in the town halls. Video is therefore a good means of reaching the social media generation in spite of this. And little by little we will all be in these times! “
