Habib Rizieq Shihab accused the special staff of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) Diaz Hendropriyono involved in the incident of the death of 6 soldiers of the Islamic Defenders Front (FPI). Diaz Hendropriyono denied the allegations.
“You can do it. It’s not (involved),” Diaz said when contacted, Thursday (10/6/2021).
Diaz considered Rizieq’s statement far-fetched. He called the accusation it was not clear where alias north-south.
“How come north-south. Can Rizieq make news? People are not clear,” he said.
Rizieq made this allegation in a trial at the East Jakarta District Court (PN Jaktim). Rizieq as a defendant read out a memorandum of defense or pleidoi on the demand for 6 years in prison. At first he accused the prosecutor’s efforts to prosecute him was a malicious attempt.
“Because of all that, I am not surprised by the sadistic demands of the public prosecutor to imprison me for 6 years because from the beginning the engineering of this case has been very real and visible,” said Rizieq in a trial at the East Jakarta District Court, Thursday (10/6).
Rizieq then explained about the shooting of 6 members of the FPI Laskar who were escorting him until they died. Rizieq suddenly accused when Diaz Hendropriyono was behind the shooting of the 6 armies.
“Especially when I was first arrested in the Petamburan crowd case, on December 12, 2020 one of the Presidential Staff for Intelligence Diaz Hendropriyono who is strongly suspected of being involved in the massacre of 6 of my bodyguards on December 7, 2020, immediately posted a short message on his official Instagram and Twitter accounts with the words ‘See you in 2026’,” said Rizieq.
“This is a clear sign of the plan to imprison me for a long time. Diaz, like his father AM Hendropriyono, is still not satisfied with the massacre of 6 of my bodyguards, so they are still pursuing me to be severely punished,” he added.
