Rostock (dpa / mv) – A 45-year-old man was hit by a car in Rostock on Sunday and was seriously injured. A car was in the right lane when the man suddenly stepped onto the street, the police said on Monday. Despite emergency braking, the driver was no longer able to prevent the collision. According to police, the pedestrian hit his head on the windshield and was seriously injured on the street. The officers found the 43-year-old driver to smell alcohol. A first breath alcohol test showed 0.55 per thousand. The driver’s license was initially secured.
