Accidents – Belm – Car brushes oncoming traffic: Escape across field ends in fence – panorama

Osnabrück (dpa / lni) – The escape of a car driver after a minor traffic accident in Belm near Osnabrück ended after a few hundred meters in a wooden fence. The 53-year-old’s car first touched an oncoming car on Monday evening, then drove across a field and ultimately got stuck in the fence, said a police spokesman. The woman may have been drunk. She was slightly injured.

After her car had come to a stop in the fence, a piece of wood stuck out against the driver’s door so that she could not get out from there. The fence owner saw off the part and freed them, said a police spokesman. The woman had shown signs of failure and had been driving in serpentine lines before the accident, so her blood should be taken for an alcohol test. They are being investigated for endangering road traffic and escaping accidents.
