MHLTAL extension. (red). A traffic accident on the K138 between Waschenbach and Frankenhausen occurred on Thursday shortly before 15:00 with two minor injuries. A 59-year-old driving his Ford on the K138 coming from Waschenbach, went off the road to the left for reasons not yet clarified and crashed head-on into the guardrail. The impact returned the car to the road, spun twice and collided with an oncoming Opel, which was unable to avoid the collision despite emergency braking. The two occupants of the Opel, the 43-year-old driver and his 32-year-old passenger, suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospital as a precaution. The woman who caused the accident was uninjured. According to the police, the damage to both vehicles amounted to around 10,000 euros. The course was completely closed for 90 minutes. In addition to two patrol cars from the Ober-Ramstadt police station and an ambulance, the Waschenbach fire brigade was on duty.
