Photo: Kapo GR A driver of a Postbus was injured moderately in an accident on Sunday in Sagogn, Graubünden. He had previously crashed down a slope on the Oberalpstrasse on a Postbus about 40 meters while traveling without passengers. The man was taken to the hospital. At 8.10 p.m., the operations control center of the Graubünden cantonal police received the message that a post bus had left the road on Oberalpstrasse, below the Fletg curve, and had fallen about 40 meters down the slope. Since this was an empty trip from Falera to Ilanz, the chauffeur was alone in the vehicle at the time of the accident, the police said on Monday. The chauffeur was rescued by the Ilanz fire department, a doctor from Flims and the Surselva ambulance and brought to the regional hospital in Ilanz. More than 25 helpers were on duty. Road must be closed The cantonal civil engineering office was called in to secure the accident site. Major damage to property occurred on the bus and on the street body. The Postbus will be recovered on Monday evening. To do this, the road between Laax and Schluein must be closed for around five hours. A diversion for traffic is set up. The exact cause of the accident is clarified by the Graubünden cantonal police.
