What an incredible tragedy. A family destroyed forever by a serious traffic accident – for which it is not to blame.
The two nine and twelve year old children succumbed to their injuries on Monday night, as a police spokesman for the German Press Agency said. A four-year-old child was still in mortal danger.
The husband of the 35-year-old mother had just as serious injuries in the accident on Bundesstrasse 2 as the 19-year-old who caused the accident. According to earlier information, both were not in mortal danger.
The 19-year-old’s van was on its way to Nuremberg late Sunday afternoon when, for unknown reasons, it came into oncoming traffic and crashed into the family car.
The B2 was opened to traffic again after four hours of blocking at night.
