[NTDTV, ora di Pechino, 23 settembre 2022]NASA (NASA) recently released the first image captured by the James Webb Space TelescopeNeptune(Neptune), which captures the mostclearviews, especially of Neptune in the clearhalo

according toNASANASA’s Voyager 2 spacecraft flew in 1989, according to the website NeptuneSince it became the first spacecraft to observe Neptune, that of Neptune halo It was never fully detected. In the images captured by the Webb Space Telescope this time around, Neptune’s narrow ring is the most striking bright spot.

Scientists first discovered Neptune in 1846. Neptune is the furthest planet from the sun in the solar system. The distance from the sun is 30 times the distance between the earth and the sun. It is so far away that the sunlight is very dim. When Neptune’s sun is in the middle, it’s like a misty twilight on earth.

“It’s been thirty years since we’ve seen these slightly dusty rings, and this is the first time we’ve seen them in infrared,” said Heidi Hammel, a Neptune system expert and Webb Space Telescope scientist.

Neptune appears as a dreamy pearl white captured by the near infrared camera (NIRCam) of the Webb space telescope. Previous images of Neptune in visible light from the Hubble Space Telescope showed a typical blue appearance.

Neptune is classified as an ice giant due to the chemical composition of its interior. Neptune has a total of 14 known moons, seven of which were captured by the Webb Space Telescope. As you can see from the image, the bright spot in the upper left corner is Neptune’s largest moon, Triton. Because Triton’s surface is covered in frozen nitrogen, with an average reflectivity of 70 percent, it looks brighter, like a bright star, to telescopes.

In the new Neptune images released this time, as well as severalclearIn addition to the narrow planetary rings, weaker dust bands (dust bands) were also photographed.
