Thiruvananthapuram ∙ Once there was a gathering of “those who took the train to Madrasi” with cinematic dreams. Movie stars and crew members who were the charm of youth collected with sweet memories. In 1980, a group called “Madras Mail” was formed of those who contributed a handful of good Malayalam films.
About 50 people attended such as Ambika, Menaka, Bhagyalakshmi, Mohan Sharma, Jose, Chandrakumar, Maniyanpilla Raju, G. Suresh Kumar, Vipin Mohan, TS Suresh Babu, Thulasidas, singer Latika, Krishnachandran and Vanitha.
The “Madras Mail” association was created by Bhagyalakshmi. The poet and lyricist former chief secretary K. Jayakumar inaugurated the event.
