There has been a storm around the abortion case in the USA after a document amending the abortion law was leaked in April. But on Friday, the US Supreme Court ruled that The ruling that has given women the right to self-determined abortion is overturned at the national level.

The new abortion law has triggered strong reactionsand now several Norwegian celebrities are taking to social media to deepen their frustration with the decision.

– Promises to help

Two of those who condemn the decision are the Norwegian influencers and newlyweds Camilla Lorentzen (32) and Julie Visnes (25). On TikTok, the couple has shared a video where it says «if you need to have an abortion you can come and stay with us», And emphasizes that they hope everyone who needs to get in touch.

In the video, they elaborate on:

– If any of our American followers ever need an abortion, you can come and stay with us. We have a house in Norway, we have a car and we have a guest room.

Before Camilla adds:

– We are friendly, most of the time, except in the morning. And we promise that we will do everything we can to help you with a safe abortion. We are here if you need us, she concludes.

The video has gone viral in a few days, and at the time of writing has received 1.7 million likes on the app and almost eight million people have seen it. At the same time, thousands of comments are pouring in praising the girls for opening up their home to anyone who may need it.

However, Tiktoken has made several other girls from other countries open their homes to foreign women who want to have an abortion. In the comments section, there are several users in both Canada and Germany who write that women can live with them.

The online newspaper has tried to get in touch with Visnes and Lorentzen, but who are currently on their honeymoon.

But the girls are not the only Norwegian celebrities who have gone viral on TikTok by reacting to the new abortion law.

The artist Emilie Nicolas (34) is also one of those who react. She recently appeared in the human rights organization Amnesty’s new campaign where she sings a revised version of the American national anthem. The organization chose to remove the word “free” from the song.

TikToken has so far over three million views.

Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre is also reacting to the decision on Twitter.
