Abinader calls to complete vaccination against COVID-19

The President of the Republic, Louis Abinader called on the elderly to complete their vaccination schedule against COVID-19 and reminded them that this population, especially those with other health conditions, are the most vulnerable to the disease.

“I take advantage of this forum to ask you and all those who listen to us through the electronic media that next week go from Monday to get vaccinated at our centers and those who have the third and have had enough time have a fourth to set an example of efficient management of the COVID-19″, urged the president.

He said that the country has tests for the virus until the end of this year and with vaccines for a year and a half more.

“To date, although a large part of the population has already been able to do both vaccines, we still have to go up in the third vaccine, especially the elderly and those with comorbidities. Despite the increase in COVID-19 We only have 9% of people hospitalized and most of them, thank God, are not serious, but most of them are people over 60 years of age and with some comorbidity problem,” reported the head of state.

Abinader He spoke at the end of a tour of North Santo Domingo this Saturday afternoon where he gave the first palazo for the construction of a multipurpose in Villa Vella, inaugurated the Ramona Nuria Sosa Mirror Basic School in Sabana Perdida, which cost 26 classrooms and was built at a cost of more than 103 million pesos and consists of 26 classrooms.
