The president of Vox, Santiago Abascal, stressed this Thursday that it is “so evident” that he rejects the comments of a WhatsApp group of ex-military personnel, in which one of the participants spoke of shoot “26 million sons of bitches”, which will not give “no headline” about it. “We do not accept that the PSOE tell us what is or is not news. We are very concerned about the ETA chat, the mafias or communism or the coup separatism (…) What we condemn is that the PSOE is governing with ETA “, the Vox leader assured the media when asked if he condemned those expressions.
“It is so evident that we reject that, that I do not give a single headline, nor do we enter the rag of what the PSOE wants: what we condemn is that the PSOE is governing with ETA, which murdered thousands of Spaniards during three decades of terrorism. We do not enter the provocations or the rag of the PSOE, we do not fall into traps ”, he insisted after a meeting with businessmen.
As published by the digital newspaper Infoliber, in that WhatsApp forum of the XIX promotion of the General Air Academy there are ex-military references to “pronouncements” and one of the participants wrote that he would fall short by shooting 26 million “sons of bitches”, among other comments. Therefore, the Minister of Defense, Margarita Robles, has asked the Prosecutor’s Office to investigate if the aforementioned chat of these retired soldiers could be constitutive of a crime.
In his statements this afternoon, Abascal has concluded by stating that his political training is not to defend himself or give justifications, but rather to point out those who want to “end democracy.”
