Aaron Hill Stuns Ali Carter at English Open – Last 16 Update

Brentwood, England – Aaron Hill of Cork, Ireland, stunned veteran Ali Carter 4-3 in the fourth round of the BetVictor‍ English Open ​on Wednesday, despite Carter producing ​a‌ 147 break during the match. ‌The victory ‌sends 23-year-old Hill into the last 16 of the ​tournament.

Hill, ⁢currently ranked 45th, rallied from a 3-1 deficit to​ defeat Carter, who has four career maximum breaks to his name. And luckily I did. I stuck ⁤in there from 3-1 behind.” This result is notably ‌notable‍ as Hill himself⁣ recorded a 147 earlier in the⁤ competition.

Elsewhere in⁤ the tournament,​ Jack Lisowski advanced after ⁣a 4-1 win over world champion Zhao Xintong. Mark Allen narrowly ‌defeated Stuart Bingham⁢ 4-3 and will face Ding Junhui in⁤ the‍ next round. Judd trump overcame Yuan ⁢Sijun 4-1,⁣ setting up a match against Elliot⁤ Slessor. Defending champion Neil Robertson was eliminated by Jackson Page,who will play Shaun Murphy.Mark Selby dominated Lei peifan 4-0 and will meet⁢ Wu Yize,⁢ while Zhou Yuelong defeated Mark Williams 4-1 and will face Barry Hawkins.
