Middenmeer
Highway A7 was completely closed off in both directions between Middenmeer and Medemblik on Monday evening due to accidents with several vehicles in both directions.

At Middenmeer, a car got slippery due to slippage. This caused the vehicle to slide over the roadway, after which it was rammed by another car. The driver was taken to the hospital injured. Two lanes were closed due to the removal of wreckage.
Rijkswaterstaat advised that traffic in the direction of Hoorn should follow the U25 diversion route, for traffic in the direction of Den Oever the route U26 applied.
Update: The road in both directions was released again just before 8.30 p.m.
