A14 GeekBench score with A12X performance (iPad Pro)

There is no doubt that Apple is already testing final prototypes of the iPhone 12, production of which will certainly be delayed this year.

So, a Geekbench score has appeared on the web in recent hours, obtained with the supposed A14, the SoC that will undoubtedly equip the brand’s next phone. Be careful, it can be a fake, GeekBench being quite easy to fool.

According to the sheet, the chip would rotate at more than 3Ghz, which would make it possible to obtain a fairly high single-core score (1658) and a multi-core score close to the A12X which equips the current ones iPad Pro released at the end of 2018. As a reminder, the latter has a 8-core ARMv8-A processor including four high-performance cores (Vortex) and four low-consumption cores (Tempest).

TheiPhone 11 Pro and its A13 chip (more recent) offers a single core score of 1,300 and a multicore of around 3,400. (2 cores at 2.65 GHz and 4 low performance cores) The gain therefore remains significant in one year, but it is also explained by apparently higher frequencies – and perhaps better engraving finesse.
