A world black record broke the K-19 on April 6 at 15:00

Coronavirus deaths worldwide exceeded 3 million today, Reuters reports. According to the agency, the new wave of the infection calls into question the efforts to vaccinate the population, writes Monitor bg.

The victims of Kovid-19 are growing the fastest in Brazil and India. According to health authorities, both the new, more contagious variants of the virus and public fatigue from lockdowns and restrictions are to blame.

Reuters says it took a year from the start of the pandemic to reach 2 million victims, while the next million took only three months.

Brazil is the undisputed leader in black statistics, with one in four Covid-19 deaths reported in that country. According to the WHO, the health care system of the Latin American country is already on its knees, and in many hospitals the intensive care units are over 90 percent full.

India on Monday became the second country after the United States to register more than 100,000 new infections a day. India’s most affected state, Maharashtra, began closing shopping malls, cinemas, bars, restaurants and temples as hospitals overcrowded.

In Europe, which according to WHO statistics includes 51 countries, the victims are 1.1 million, 60 percent of whom are in 5 countries – Britain, Russia, France, Italy and Germany.

The death toll in the United States is 555,000, the most in the world, or 19 percent of all globally.

In the last three weeks, the cases have been rising again, but health authorities believe that the rapid vaccination campaign will soon disrupt the growth of the infection. About a third of Americans have already received at least one dose of the vaccine.

According to the world counter for coronavirus worldometers, the death toll from the insidious infection is 2,876,067. The infected so far are 132,507,419. 106,839,221 people have been cured of K-19.

The most infected worldwide are in the United States, Brazil, India, France and Russia.

In Europe, the most infected are in France, Russia, Britain, Italy and Spain.
