A woman was also pushed under a subway in New York, but she did not survive | Abroad

The epitome of senseless violence is what NYPD Commissioner Keechant Sewell calls the incident that happened in New York on Saturday. It shows striking similarities with the horrific attack on a woman Friday evening in Brussels.

Was harassing another woman before

The incident happened around 9:40 a.m. at New York’s Times Square station, police said. Footage from the surveillance cameras shows that the perpetrator is standing on the platform. First, he harassed another woman. But she manages to escape. Shortly afterwards, however, she sees him push another woman onto the track just as a subway pulls up, says Police Chief Jason Wilcox.

The incident in New York is almost identical to the accident in Brussels last Friday evening. The only difference is that the driver of the metro in Brussels was able to brake just in time, so that the device came to a stop just in front of the woman.

Unfortunately, the driver in New York was unable to do that. The woman ended up under the subway and died instantly.
