Game designer and director Yousef Fares gave a short interview to the portal IGN, in which, for example, disclosed sales A Way Out – they exceeded 3.5 million copies, which means that about 7 million people played the game.

According to Fares, in Electronic Arts Such sales were not expected, especially from a small team of 30-50 people. However, the publisher decided to trust an ambitious developer anyway, which ultimately resulted in an unconditionally successful release.

At the same time, the game designer spoke eloquently about the confusing name of the Xbox Series.

«It’s a fucking confusing name. What the fuck is going on at Microsoft? They are losing their grip. What the fuck is going on? Type Series S, X, Max, Next. Well, like, who even understands this? God madness. Name it Microsoft Box and that’s it. I don’t know, this is a complete mess. Believe me, even they are confused in the office. These “X”, “Es” … I don’t know what the fuck I am».

Fares is now preparing to release his next game, the co-op It Takes Two. She continues to develop A Way Out ideas for combining gameplay and storytelling. The developer doesn’t really like the fact that the gameplay and plot of many games seem to exist separately from each other – he avoids this.

«Sometimes designers and writers make two completely different games.».

At the same time, in February, the Fares studio will begin production of its next game, which will differ from everything that the developer has done before – Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, A Way Out and It Takes Two.

The latter, by the way, is released on March 26 on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One and PC.
