A video of tests of the new underwater drone “Marichka” was posted on the Internet. This is the development of Ukrainian volunteers, who claim that they have “brought together the best drone developers” and other specialists in the field to create a multi-purpose drone that could hit the underwater part of ships.
A video of the test launch of the Marichka drone appeared online. As reported in Ukrainian telegram channels, this six-meter underwater drone is capable of carrying a warhead weighing 200 kg and covering distances of a thousand kilometers.
The developers also stated that the Marichka is “much more effective than surface drones” and “capable of countering Russian electronic warfare systems.”
Previously, the developers reported that the cost of production of the Marichka drone is about 16 million hryvnia. According to the creators of the drone, it can be used to destroy Russian warships, coastal fortifications, submarines, and also perform additional reconnaissance functions.
