Still on Thursday, that is on the day publication of the recording by the Lublin City Hall, director of TVP3 Lublin Ryszard Montusiewicz immediately terminated the contract with Tomasz Zalewą, an associate of the TVP regional center in Lublin.
As we read in the announcement, the main reason for this decision is the behavior of a public television employee registered by the monitoring of the city of Lublin, consisting in creating and recording a false situation by television by throwing rubbish taken out of the garbage can by him in order to confirm the legitimacy of the topic of disorder at one of the recreational areas in the center cities.
– The behavior of Mr. Tomasz Zalewa, as a collaborator of TVP3 Lublin, is absolutely unacceptable, reprehensible, beyond the standards of journalism and work in TVP. Tomasz Zalewa is fully and personally responsible for the created and recorded situation, which was broadcast in good faith and trust in his journalistic reliability – emphasizes Ryszard Montusiewicz, director of TVP3 Lublin.
According to the director, Zalwa’s behavior and attitude as a TVP collaborator hit the image of the local TVP branch in Lublin and public television.
The journalist deliberately litter the square
On Thursday, the recording of TVP3 Lublin employees was made public on the official Facebook profile of the City of Lublin. The film shows how editor Tomasz Zalewa, one of the former people running Panorama Lubelska, reaches into a garbage can and takes out the waste. Then it spreads them over the lawn. The camera operator records the heap of garbage.
