A trip to New York at the Musée des beaux-arts du Locle

The Museum of Fine Arts of Le Locle (MBAL) offers a scouring immersion in the artistic bubbling of New York, a pretext to question our wavering certainties.

A major figure in street photography, Jeff Mermelstein seems to contrast his funny images in response to current barrier gestures. Designer Ruba Abu-Nimah tells Manhattan reeling from the pandemic in an installation created for the MBAL. The Encor Studio collective offers an audiovisual decontamination experience, while Annelies Strba filmed Big Apple before the attacks of September 11, 2001.

The tour is completed by images by Stanley Kubrick, canvases by Neuchâtelois Olivier Mosset and Grégoire Müller, who made careers in New York, and by other artists, to be discovered from October 24.

Practical information
