A third airline on the Nice New-York route

United Airlines will offer a daily direct flight between Nice and New York during the summer season, starting May 2, 2020.

And three! This Thursday, the company United announced that it will offer direct flights between Nice and New York from May 2, 2020.

United will serve its Newark-Liberty airport hub by Boeing 767-300 every day, from May 2 to September 8, with a priori departure from Nice Côte d’Azur at 12 noon for an arrival in New York at 3.15 p.m. local (after 9:15 a.m. flight).

Its competitors, Delta Airlines and La Compagnie, already offer this non-stop service. “These new daily frequencies accompany the return of North American tourists to the Riviera and strengthen the many cultural and economic relations between our territories”, underlines the president of the Management Board of Airports of the Côte d’Azur, Dominique Thillaud, in a press release.

As an indication, this Friday United is offering the first flight on May 20, 2020, with a return on May 24, at prices ranging from 655 euros (in “basic” economy class) to 5,118 euros (Business class).

13,850,000 travelers at Nice airport

This announcement comes a few days after the arrival of the first direct flight from Beijing. A link operated three days a week (Wednesday, Friday and Sunday) by Air China with a 227-seat A330. The goal is to reach 250,000 stays by 2025.

Nice Côte d’Azur Airport also offers non-stop international flights to Montreal, Dubai, Doha and Kuwait City. In total, Nice airport serves 121 direct destinations. In 2018, the platform saw 13.85 million passengers pass through. A figure up 4.1%, or 560,000 more passengers.
