The National Communication Center in the Kingdom of Bahrain affirmed in a statement released today, Friday, “its categorical rejection of what was reported in the Qatari channel Al-Jazeera of the visit of His Holiness Pope Francis to the Kingdom”. He stressed “their lack of commitment to professional standards and media objectivity”.

He said the channel “broadcast misleading and completely inaccurate media content on the humanitarian implications of the historic visit, which emphasized respect for the principles of human rights and religious and labor freedoms, and praised the successful efforts of the Kingdom of Bahrain in consolidate the values ​​of coexistence, peace and human brotherhood “.

The center found the Qatari authorities “responsible for the misleading inventions and accusations broadcast by the Qatari channel Al-Jazeera which are inconsistent with the high objectives of the Cooperation Council for the Arab Gulf States and include completely unacceptable abuses”.

This is Bahrain’s second criticism of the smear campaigns launched by the “Al Jazeera” channel against it in a week.
