The Thermoréseau plant located on the route from Belfort to Porrentruy was the scene of a serious work accident on Wednesday afternoon. An employee of the company “Entreprise du gaz” was engaged in maintenance work on a boiler when water at around 90 degrees was sprayed against him. The man sustained second degree injuries to 70% of the body and was helicoptered by Rega to Zurich. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident.
