Starting in October, DDT introduced the audience to the new directors on four short performance evenings, which initially took place in person, but later took advantage of various online opportunities.

The cycle “Why I Don’t Sleep at Night” allows you to look into the world of twenties, revealing what worries and hurts them. “Dirty Deal Teatro” enables young stage artists to react to what is important, painful and topical for them. DDT playwright Jānis Balodis supports the directors as mentors in creating the performances.

The project has changed its format several times, looking for creative solutions and using the current opportunities. This time, together with the ticket, it will be possible to purchase not only a link to the discussion on the online platform “Zoom”, but also instructions and a map that will help to experience the environmental performances of the new directors. When taking a walk in the immediate vicinity of the Dirty Deal Teatro, you must bring a telephone with an Internet connection, as well as a headset. By opening links to audio and video files, viewers will be able to experience three short conversations in an urban environment.

The performances at the artists’ selected points will be available from February 5 to 22, but the directors themselves will be available on February 13 in an online discussion hosted by Nikita Trojanski. After the discussion, the closing event of the cycle is also expected, where their mentor – playwright Jānis Balodis – will talk to all directors.

Tickets can be purchased in advance at “Biļešu paradīze” box offices.
