Refinery burned in Mexico

In less than an hour, six explosions occurred on the territory of the enterprise owned by the state-owned Pemex company.

In eastern Mexico, on the night from Wednesday to Thursday, April 8, six explosions thundered at an oil refinery (refinery) Lazaro Cardenas del Rio state-owned company Pemex, after which a severe fire began at the enterprise. About it reported agency TASS.

The fire was fought by plant employees, as well as workers from the municipal and regional rescue services, while the military, National Guard and police officers set up a cordon.

According to Pemex, seven people were injured in the fire. We are talking about five firefighters who participated in the fight against the fire, as well as two employees of the enterprise. One of them received burns, and the other was poisoned by combustion products.

“Their condition is assessed as stable, they are being provided with the necessary assistance at the Pemex hospital in the region,” the company said.
