A Reunionese family turned away from Rolex on the Champs-Elysées

On vacation in Paris at the beginning of January, a family from Reunion decided to visit the Champs-Elysées and the famous shops there.

With his family, Arthur took this opportunity to take a closer look at the famous luxury Swiss watches he dreams of so much. The guard, posted in front of the entrance to the shop, put an end to his aspirations.

“My nephew showed up in front of the store, he asked to enter and the security guard replied: ‘It’s not Carrefour here!’“relates Nelly, the aunt of the young man, who attended the scene.

Arthur would then have explained that he simply wanted to see the watches. And the security guard suggested to him that if he wanted to watch, he just had to go see them on the internet and that here “it’s up to him”, according to his aunt.

Faced with Arthur’s disappointment, Nelly stepped forward. Other people, after checking the bags by this same security guard, joined by a colleague, were authorized to pass through the doors, while the family was ignored despite their requests until their departure, she specifies. .

This misadventure left a bitter taste: “We did not understand. Why such contempt? They must have thought that my nephew couldn’t afford it. We felt belittled, judged, despised ”, laments Nelly.
