AT Amsterdam, a restaurant has installed small glass greenhouses outside its building. The goal: to respect
social distancing imposed as a result of the epidemic of
coronavirus. Each bubble can hold two to three people creating intimate cocoons at the water’s edge. Waiters and waitresses wear gloves and
protective visors and bring the dishes on long boards.
The concept is, for the moment, only a test reserved for staff members of the restaurant. But the goal is to prepare for the reopening of the establishment announced for May 7. On this date, all restaurants, bars and museums in the Netherlands will be able to reopen provided that social distancing and barrier gestures are respected.
